Fluffy babies

Him indoors off sick again, plus daughter at home this morning - what happened to my peace and quiet on my day off!!

Quick trip to the pet shop, then onto my mum. She was her happy self, although she did ask where we were going and also mentioned Joyce's name (her sister, AJ).

Then on the way to Sainsburys, stopped off at South Hill Park to see the swans. They have had two cygnets this year and they had just got out of the water and happily preening themselves. I did have to chuckle as the parents were on one side of the path and the kids on the other (typical).

Back home after shopping, quick lunch then started baking - all Mary Berry cakes. But disaster occurred when the last cake was in the oven - the electric went (on the loop of the oven). Him indoors re-set the trip (so glad he was around, wouldn't have known what to do), but after around 10 minutes noticed the oven was not at the right temperature. Result - no working oven! My lovely neighbour Karen to the rescue and the last cake baked.

After weight watchers (don't ask) back home to finish off the cakes.

Now ......... need to look at options for replacing oven.
