Bellagio

Today we fancied another cruise. After visiting the market, and a pause for an ice cream (in my case) we got a ferry over to Varenna where we had lunch.

The photograph is taken as the ferry is approaching Bellagio. There are three jetties for the passenger boats and one for the car ferry. With the arrival of our ship every jetty was occupied. It was slightly alarming watching two ferries arriving from opposite directions and mooring at adjacent jetties. Nothing to worry about in reality as these boats have good brakes.

Return to Lenno in the late afternoon. I managed to avoid stopping at both the ice cream shop and the at local bar for an apperitivo. Not a minor achievement.
