Cottage in the Trees

I went on a slightly different dog walk this morning, along Tavern Lane in Shottery village. There are a few thatched cottages but I quite liked the view of this cottage peeping through the trees.

Window Woman came this morning to look at some of the windows, what else? I look forward to the estimate with trepidation. Someone else who came round to give us an estimate was Gas Man, “botch job” was his description of some of the existing pipe work.

So the only man we’ve not managed to get here yet is our favourite builder, someone we have used on every house since we left Birmingham many years ago.

Just a little rant: I rang up Tesco’s to change the address on our car insurance, the whole thing took ten minutes, including hanging on and pressing choice buttons, twenty pounds was demanded for change of policy!
