The Garden
Asbestos Man came round this morning and confirmed the bad news we were expecting; the garage, porch and downstairs loo need to have the asbestos ceiling panels removed before anyone can do any work on the place. A common occurrence in 1950/60’s houses before the true danger was recognised.
In better news; we walked into town today for a visit to Nero. Although taking longer than it used to, it is still manageable, except in driving rain and snow, we walked back too, although I have my bus pass if necessary and the bus stops at the bottom of the road.
Tom and I put a new standard lamp together this afternoon, our contribution to the great house move, Ann spent the afternoon in the garden, with a bow saw at one point when she tackled some overhanging branches.
The picture is Tom and Dylan having a quiet moment together in the garden sunshine.
