Ben Foinaven

It is just a Corbett, but the walk in is 7km from the road before you start.

There was too much cloud for a view from the summit, but we saw many wild flowers, and frogs, and what I think was an otter track.

The slog up was boggy and slabby and rough and steep and harsh, the ridge was level and even and easy, the walk off was loose scree and then bog, then heather, then back 7km on the gravel track to the road. We were all exhausted.

But an excellent day all round.
