Mustang Sally

Well, Mustang Sue actually. I adore clocks, so we have quite a few in the house, and this is the latest addition. It is a rather novel alarm clock, comprising a brake disc with red calliper as a surround for the clock face, mounted on a highly-polished plinth. It is very difficult to photograph, with so many reflections!

It was a present from Ford when I went to the Goodwood Revival recently, and as I am a notoriously deep sleeper, it is a welcome newcomer to the morning cacophony. Instead of ringing a bell, it makes the sounds of an engine revving through the gears, and a car horn sounding. Then it screeches on the brakes and a voice yells 'Good morning!'

I'll find it hard to sleep through that!
