Cusworth Hall

Today I got my second 'birthday' of the week - met up with our son and daughter and her husband and our granddaughter!

We went to Cusworth Hall (nr Doncaster) and had a light snack in the tea rooms there. Then we went for a wander around the lake. We did get a little bit of sunshine but the grey cloud soon rolled in again.

This shot is of part of the hall - under a window. I liked how the little columns all appeared to be in good condition and the wall they backed onto looked a bit of a mess. Not sure if there has been some renovation going on here - if so why not do the wall as well! Converted to mono as I think it brings out the stone texture more.

Later we went to a pub / restaurant for lunch. The we all piled back to our daughter's house for pudding!

Dropped our son off at his house on our way home.
