Bramham Festivale

It was beer festival time in our village today.

This is the seventh annual event and it has become a major fundraiser for the village hall. People travel from far and wide, including a couple from Lancashire I met at the first one and who have come back every year since!

It starts at noon - but this year I didn't go until about 3:30 - and it was just starting to get busy. The first barrel ran dry at around 5:30!

A good selection of Yorkshire ales - not all to my taste - but there were enough to keep me going.

Here is my tea - pork pie and mushy peas - with a glass of Wild Oates.

Afternoon entertainment was provided by various local musicians and in the evening a band from East Yorkshire called Rough Edge played some pretty good covers of old and new songs.

Most enjoyable afternoon and early evening.
