Going on a journey

Today, the kids had a surprise in store for them at school. Their new topic 'Egypt' was launched with a full mock up of a plane journey with all the kids given tickets, staff dressed as plane crew, giving safety announcements and snacks. The view of the mystery country they were travelling to was provided by interactive whiteboard and a couple of camels (a leftover from the Christmas production) bobbing up and down outside the hall window. Absolute genius!
They then looked at a series of photos of Egypt, (their destination)city and countryside, and had to put post-it notes describing what they could see next to the picture. This was followed by a big paint of Egypt. And here's the result!
I love working in this school!!
