Fruit break

Down in Salalah in the south of Oman and the other major city of the country. It is very different particularly in climate. During our summer (the Khareef) it rains a lot, catching the monsoons headed for India.

It might be difficult to believe but the rain becomes a tourist attraction. A good place to come to escape the intense heat of Muscat and other towns in the region. The rain brings greenery and a coolness which makes the place attractive.

After a day of discussions in schools, we found ourselves this evening in a row of fruit sellers sampling fresh coconut and delicious milk bananas. Mohammed and Hilal are polishing off their quota.
