Cap de Formentor from Victoria

Better this morning and a trip to see the old part of Alcudia. It's quite pretty. Just pick a day when the market isn't there and you don't have hunt for a parking place.

The market is pretty standard tourist tat and really not my thing. The Altstadt was very much my thing and I really enjoyed wandering round with G.

Aftewards we went to have a look at the cape which the guide books describe as being as good as Cap de Formentor but not half as busy. They were right. It was very pretty and the views were great. Not great walking given that I was wearing sandals but we had a very good couple of hours in the hills.

There was a very posh restaurant up there where it seemed the posh people liked to go for Sunday lunch. We looked quite different to them. They were all poshly dressed, whereas our look was much more "modern sweaty".

Got back to the hotel to find that the street next to us has the English Premier League on in every pub. Said pubs are full with people watching the games and enjoying a "traditional" roast dinner. And lots of beer. It's a lively atmosphere.

Shan't be joining in.
