Bournemouth Beach

The slightly moody lighting of this photo makes it look like a less glorious day than it actually has been, but I quite liked the dark skies behind these gorgeously coloured beach huts on the seafront in Bournemouth.

We spent the day at the coast as I was meeting up with a cookery-forum friend who was there for the weekend but actually lives in the South of France. We have known each other online for many years but this was our first meeting in person. She was every bit as lovely as I knew she would be and we enjoyed a great chat over coffee for a couple of hours.

Ted and I then joined Rob on the beach where he had been relaxing with his book. We had a picnic and a paddle (a swim for Rob!), an ice cream and a walk along the Promenade. It felt like Summer had returned.
