Day 37: Phi Phi Island

I will have to watch Leonardo Dicaprio's movie, The Beach, again, which was filmed here at Phi Phi Island. It is just as beautiful in person, as I can recall from the movie. Phuket has been the site of several films, including a couple James Bond flicks. Apparently there has been contention with filming movies in Thailand, though, as directors have been known to alter the landscape, defacing the natural beauty of the islands. Doesn't hurt tourism, though!

It was windy and the sun was playing hide and seek all day, so we spent most of the day on the boat. At least we got to get out and explore. I didn't want to get too much sun also. There are many beach days yet to come.
