Friends...

... are a marvel. Friends love you even if you're a bit of a mardy cow. Friends love you even if they live at the other end of the country from you. Friends love you even if they only see you once a year, or even less.

I've spent the day with such friends. Most recently I've met up with Carol and that was back in April. I think I saw some of the others in Portsmouth last June (sorry, the memory's shocking). And yet we've spent the day in each other's company, on and off, chatting away like we do this every week. Though possibly with slightly more to catch up on...
