Retirement

A very special man, Paul Whiston, was presented with a Vellum today by the chairman of the RNLI to mark his retirement from the crew if the St Ives Lifeboat.

He started in 1990 as a member if the inshore lifeboat team, and retired in 2014 after 3 years as as Coxwain of the allweather lifeboat.

Official records show he was involved in the rescue of "53 lives from shipwreck"

Hats off to Paul or as we call him Wiz, a true Hero.
