Its always nice to get an unexpected cheque in the post but in this case I wont be booking a holiday with the proceeds.

I closed an unused account recently, I guess this is the interest I have earned on the £1 that was in it for the last few years. Woooo.

As its cost them 30p to post the cheque to me and presumably about the same in BACS clearing charges if I cash it at the HSBC (Halifax shut all their local agencies, hence me closing the account) and the cost of printing and envelopes . . . I guess that this 1p cheque has cost them about £1.
