Musée de l'École

We had a busy day in Perpignan as all the museums and other places of interest were open for the Journées du Patrimoine, heritage days that take place all over France every September. We nearly missed it as the train did not turn up but we just had time to catch the bus instead. We visited the Castillet prison, the Salle des Mariages at the Hotel de Ville, the Musée de l'École (school museum), the Hotel Pams (the house of a rich bourgeois), the old theatre with a costume exhibition and the Palais des Rois de Majorque including displays of medieval swordsmanship and archery.
