Daring to Hope
This was an unexpected encounter and one that will be fondly remembered by Tess, Sam and I.
At this point, with a few hours left on polling day, we were still full of hope that the majority of people living in Scotland would have faith in themselves and their country and be willing to put in a little bit of effort in the short term to achieve and safeguard a much better deal for their next generations in the long term.
Hours later I would arrive at the Aberdeenshire count as a counting agent for Aberdeen Women for Indy, and stand side by side with my mum and a brace of other like minded people from all walks of life and backgrounds to watch the votes being checked, sorted and counted, all through the night.
Thanks to Sue for sending me the picture.
