Joy on the lake

Today we visited Mark 18, which being very remote has the flavour of some rumoured city like Shangri-la. It take ² ¹\2 hours journey much of it along what is really a bumpy footpath.

It is a fishing village so after a briefing about their well and storm damage it was fitting to have a short boat trip. We walked down to Lake Amaramba, accompanied by a great crowd singing. The boat took us out into open water and along the shore to see the lilies. Another boat came out with us :they were singing AND dancing!
