Spider deterrents

I have seen so many Facebook posts recently from various friends finding monster spiders in unwanted places. I literally am scared stiff about meeting one of them (spiders that is, not Facebook friends). I've mentioned in a previous Blip about the powers of conkers!

I came home to my son, who was thrilled to show me a lunchbox full of conkers that he had collected with my Dad. This was a "triple conker" (three conkers in one shell - only two visible from this angle). He was desperate to take them out, so was losing patience with me taking photos, resulting in him picking it up and holding it aloft. It was a very quick shot, as within seconds it was being dismantled. Fingers crossed the triple conkers do the trick!
