What am I?

I'm a roving lawnmower.
That's obviously not the correct term, but it looks like a toy truck my son had many years ago on which you pressed buttons for forward 2, right 3 etc.

Another (8mile) walk took us through an industrial estate where we saw this machine cutting quite a large section of grass. It has obviously been pre-programmed in some way. It was great at getting right into the tough bits of grass and weeds that grow around the outskirts of lawns, near to fencing. it was also a wee bit eerie watching it moving about by itself. Sign of the future? Could do with one for the back garden!
