Enjoying the view at Sandsend

Today we walked 10.5 miles from Whitby to Staithes.

Early in the walk, we arrived at Sandsend. While we waited for our stragglers, a bride and groom appeared and walked onto the beach. Apart from their photographer, who stayed above on dry land, there was no one with them. She wore black shoes and we were unclear whether the dress was really her size.

Here Lesley and Peter, both keen members of our photo club, have encountered the couple.

You can see it was another grey day today.

I like to look at all the disparate parts of this image (see large) and try to work out what is happening. E.g. is there a proposal going on, or is the second young man just carrying his girlfriend across the stream??

In Staithes the weekend exhibition of work by artists was well underway and we had a good hour viewing some of the work.
