Stuck
Sometimes we get stuck,
But the moon will pull the seas,
To float us again.
... after the party last night (see yesterdays blip), we spent a leisurely morning this morning ... then went for stroll along the prom at Southend/Westcliff.
We sat down at one of the cafes under the arches here and had a bite to eat and a pot of tea. When we sat down, this boat looked like it does in the picture, by the time we had finished eating it was afloat.
Much of my childhood was spent on the beaches along here... as it is a river estuary the tide tends to go out a very long way. At low tide you can walk out to the deeper channels to get a swim, but you have to be very aware of the tide. Once it starts to flow over the mud flats .... it comes in very fast - often faster than walking pace.
The sea is a mistress who demands respect.
Back home know after a lovely weekend..... another week of work beckons ...
Hope you all had a good weekend...
