Pockets
I should probably put my glasses on. I can't see anything and I keep writing the wrong words.
It promised to be cold Friday night. So out came the down vest. It hadn't been worn in quite sometime. And had quite a few surprises in store. As I started pulling stuff out I found myself reviewing the four seasons
Here,
take a tour with me......
In the right pocket I took out a handful of Kleenex. In Ingrid's words they were virgin Kleenex. This celebrated the spring for me. You know allergies.
The sunscreen ( I always carry sunscreen) covered the summer months.
I then pulled out a small package of skittles. This was a package from last Halloween. How can I be sure? Well, they said Halloween. And they expired last spring. I am not ruling out the year prior. I am just too embarrassed to admit it.
Then in my right pocket I found a candy cane in about 6 pieces.
Best part?
10.00 bill
Oh yeah baby!
This morning started at 46 degrees. It warmed up to a balmy 58. I started the day with a turtleneck, a cashmere sweater, a cashmere turtleneck a black and white checked scarf, jeans and a pair of cowboy boots. ( yes, they matched) and my ski parka.
Yes I was warm.
Yes I peeled off a few layers.
And...... Had an awesome gig.
It was our last at the Cumberland farmers market. We love this market and can't wait until next year when we are back. Today we were "unplugged" and sang in the middle of the vendors. Usually we have a full sound system and are in the beginning of the market. Today was definitely a cooler experience in many ways!
Tonight I am in bed early with a sick tummy. I ate a big sandwich. Not smart. Everything on tv has melted cheese on it. It is not helping.
I think I will get some ginger to settle my stomach....
So as I always say....
Good night to the north and G'day to down under......
Oh and if it is your birthday. And it's a big one, happiest of days to you!
