WORKING on a COLD DAY

During the week I put in some new fall-blooming plants to extend my garden into another season. Unfortunately some animal (the groundhog, I think) decided to make a salad meal out of the buds on my new coneflowers – guess they won’t be blooming this fall after all!! Today was especially cold, but I was hoping to find some bees or butterflies on the new blossoms. The weather is probably the reason that this one bee was the only insect I found today.
