Saturday: Korcula

We had a bit of a disturbed night last night as we spent a good part of it prancing around after mosquitoes.  The upshot is that we were up and on our way very early.

We left Ston for the hour drive to Oresic, which is where we caught the passenger ferry to Korcula.  We have left the car on the mainland with all lights (see yesterday) turned off.  

We have been wanting to come to Korcula ever since we came to Croatia.  All I can say is that we are not disappointed - it is just lovely, one of the nicest places we have been to here.  And we have a really nice little apartment which adds to the experience.

We had a great meal tonight - pasta and soy chicken to start, followed by lamb chops and rosemary potatoes, all cooked to perfection.  A real treat!

At the moment, there is a four man harmony group singing outside the window which is adding to the ambience.
