Head Scratching!

A group of us had a recce of the Hodder Valley Show Race route. This Saturday 13th September it will be a lot busier as it is a counter for the English Championships, only a short race but it has a steep climbs with leg taxing descents.

The head scratching title refers to the organisers trying to decide where to turn the runners near the top, restrictions placed on the race means that it cannot go right to the very top of the fell.

On Saturday I will be back up here as part of the team from Bowland Fell Runners helping to marshal the race to make sure everyone gets up and down safely.
