Community Forest

These guys are members of a community forest management committee in Battambang Province. With the project's support they're further down the line than most community forest groups in terms of getting legal status for their forest and developing a plan for how the forest will be managed and utilised. Potentially very exciting as they could earn a decent income from sustainable harvesting of timber poles, as well as collecting mushrooms and other forest products. If it's done correctly the members could be sharing out around USD 20,000 of shared income per year.
