Dalby in the sun

Having been kindly gifted plums and apples at Pilates today. I am now engaged in preparing the fruit for the freezer.

However the afternoon was so good I felt I needed to take advantage of the decent weather whilst it lasts. The dog did not take much persuading to jump in the car and travel up to Lockton. Having crossed the busy Whitby road we dropped down the valley and into Dalby Forest.

We could hear cars on the forest drive but encountered no one as we undulated along and across valleys back to the car.

This farm is on the National Trust land of the Bridestones and really summed up our afternoon walk.
