Stones

Back to my obsession with dry stone walling.
The terraces around us tend to be workmanlike constructions rather than things of beauty in themselves, The beauty comes from their place in the landscape and the sheer extent of the work.
However in one particular corner between us and the village, there are sections of wall that were clearly created by a real artist. This mage is a section of it. The squareness of it shouts out as does the neatness of all the joints. Perhaps it was not just the aesthetic that the craftsman who built it was concerned with - durability is also a strength as it is the section of wall that has stood the test of time - and wild boars - by far the best.
