the monument

#1: Do you know the monument?
me: what, in London?
#1: yeah
me: ... uh, is that the one on Monument Street?
#1: yeah; apparently it's a monument to the Great Fire of London... and you can go up inside it!
me: really?!

And so, once my brain had stopped working at 5pm I went for a quick detour up the monument. There are a lot of steps...
