Equine Surprise

Today’s trip out was to Audley End, an English Heritage Property near Saffron Walden. Having decided to tour the house last, we explored the grounds and came across what would have been the stable block, which is mainly given over to exhibits.

To our surprise, and the children’s delight, it transpired that a part of the stable block was still in use for its original purpose and that this beautiful creature, a former racing horse, was being bridled up and made ready for a ride.
