Symi - Day 3

This is the main (only) road on Symi which connects the two villages Chorio and Yalos. One being the harbour and the other up the mountain. The motorway, as we call it, was finished the year before my first visit and transformed the touristability of the island. Once there was no road at all in front of the harbour buildings, boats just pulled up and unloaded. The road has now been widened, believe it or not, so that cars can pass each other without one going in the water .....anymore.....in most places. Well, let's just say it doesn't happen often now.

There is a restaurant right behind me that we ate at last night, I think this is a waiter trying for tonight's menu but I could just be making that up.
