Day 4

Smelling the lavender before school, as you do. She rode her bike extremely fast to school this morning. She really loves to walk and ride to school. The notion of taking the car annoys her.

"I had potatoes and yorkshire puddings at lunch today - with lots of bits of meat, teeny bits, mixed into the gravy and snack was an apple. I wasnt allowed to sit with Lydia or my friends, I had to sit with Libby from preschool". They did phonics for the first time today. She was determined to clarify S says ssss but the letter is S, not s. "Which she knew". She said she read a book to one of her friends today, called It. She fell outside off the climbing wall and came back with a bit of a scrape on her arm. She said that she didn't cry, but her friend's mum told me she had heard she'd had a cry.

After school, we came home and had some tea fairly early before washing her and putting jammies on. She then went to Lydi's house for bedtime as I was going to dance class. They fell asleep side by side and slept together til I got home. She didnt even stir between picking her up, putting her in the car seat and putting her to bed.
