Celebration Tea Party

When they heard that they were going to be great-grandparents again, this elderly couple decided to celebrate with an impromptu street party.

In preparation for their Village Day next weekend, the people of Keinton Mandeville have lined the streets with scarecrows; this one is outside the aptly-named Castle Nursing Home - looks like the residents have got a sense of fun.

Took this as I passed through on the way back from golf this morning. This afternoon I have been mainly making flapjack for tomorrow's Old Git's' Coffee Morning.
