Rest day
We've spent a very pleasant day relaxing around the lovely terraces of the hotel. I finished reading "The Cat" by Colette for the WEA French literature class, starting soon. (Not in French I'm pleased to say). I've started reading Penelope Fitzgerald, "The Bookshop", having been inspired by Hermoine Lee's talk at the Keswick Book Festival in the spring.
Tomorrow our walk is 13 miles, to the next hotel, so an early start is in order to get going before the heat builds up. It sounds delightful, through olive groves - with no mention of precipitous cliff scrambling.
