Pukekohe Onions
Generations of New Zealander's have used onions grown in the fertile volcanic soils of Pukekohe Hill, and much of the hill is still cropped with onions although the areas of housing are taking over, and can't blame them as the views are great.
This morning after dropping the children off at school I noticed some rather nice clouds so drove up to the top of the hill to get a shot of them. Walked to the edge of the reserve which bounders onto a cropping area. The new seasons onions were just through, loved the neat rows they make that seem to go on forever. The view was looking west towards the coast.
...and the continuing saga of the iPad...still no further, need another conversation with the son to sort out a few things. Early blip tonight as Aidan is off to St Johns at 6.15 for the Annual Inspection, and I am going to watch.
