Blas festival, Scourie..

The Blas festival came to Scourie tonight. To start, we were entertained by children from Feis an Iar Thuath, The North West Feis. Here we have Gemma, Jenny and Morgan playing, but Ben also played whistle.

The concert was a celebration of the works of Rob Donn, with slide shows, and some wonderful music. (I'm posting three videos to my Facebook, and will add links later - once our incredibly slow Broadband uploads them!!). It was a great night, a highlight in the Scourie calendar. People traveled from afar to the event, most from Scourie, but some from KLB, some from Lairg, some from Altnahara, some from Durness, and I'm told - some from Orkney. Around 50 in total, creating an intimate connection with the musicians..

Spent three hours this morning moving drinks and PA systems from the Pavilion to the Hall, doing a stocktake, and putting out tables and chairs..

Then a harvest for the hotel..
