Chimneys

A slow start after last night's jollification, but then a day of chores including vacuuming the carpets - a hateful business.

After eating we went up the Walk in order to watch the Germany-Scotland match in the Beard and Cardigan - the place was stowed, and mighty was the rejoicing at Anya's goal. It finished 2-1, but Scotland gave a very good account of themselves against the world champions. It was good to see young Mike, who was in the pub with some of his mates.

As we crossed the road from the bus stop I noticed the last of the glorious sunlight catching all the chimney stacks, and thought that cabbagetree might like them. :-)
