Cutting the grass

The good weather continued although we did wonder when we awoke to a grey and damp morning. It turned out to be more mist than cloud and burned off as the sun warmed the air.
A combination of warm sun and a slight breeze dried the lawn. This doesn't happen very often at this time of year here so it was a signal to cut the grass. The entire day was spent cutting and raking which would have been boring but for two things...
The first was the weather. It's always more fun to do things with the sun shining, and physical work is easier with a warm body.
The second was that since starting a combination of stretching exercises and training Tai Chi I seem to be able to rake for long periods of time without getting a very sore shoulder, as I did in previous years. This also makes the work more fun.
In this panorama shot (taken by Jan) you can see slightly under half our lawn. (We live in the part of Sweden with the lowest property prices, so big gardens come very cheap here!) I did all this and a bit more so the job is now half done. It could be that we won't need to cut this grass again this year - we'll have to see how the weather develops.
