autumn
The first few days of September here have been better than August, at least in terms of temperatures. Not much sun, and a wet day today.
However, it does feel like autumn in the early mornings, and in the evening.
It also feels like autumn when rugby turns up on BBC Alba on Friday evenings. I can't watch it live of course, on account of my long standing BBC boycott - must be 4 years ago now since I surrendered the TV licence.
Surprisingly Edinburgh won against Munster in Limerick (or was it Cork). Maybe they have turned a corner - a poor team in recent seasons.
Before you know it, I'll be back at Murrayfield watching ice hockey. That's real autumn - when the car park is warm when you come out of the fridge. Caps playing Belfast on Sunday...
BTW - think about giving up TV. It's very liberating. Thinking for yourself is good fun.
