Flowers for Eric!

My neighbour Eric passed away today. He had been seriously ill on and off since April this year. He was 82 years old. He was a very nice man who made us feel very welcome when we moved here about a year ago. He very helpful, kind and looked after our plants when we went away. He put pur bin out every week becouse he said that keep him moving. He helped me with the roses when they were full of these flies eatin them etc etc.
He told us some nice stories about his working life when he used to work for the Queen and Royal family many years ago. It was a very ointeresting life. He always has a nice humour and smile.He passed away peacefully at hospital in the earlier hours of the morning.
This afternoon my husband and I went to see his wife to offer our condolences and had a long chat with her and to offer our help. She is alone.
She will miss Eric a lot but is relieved that he is not suffering anymore. His condition was terminal.
I went around my garden looking for some flowers for him. He loved flowers. I found these wild flowers and poppies in one corner of my garden. I think they are beautiful and I am sure Eric likes it . I posted just the flowers but something happens with blipfoto again and I couldn't put the pic in the right position so I posted again this one with the flowers and the terracota becaause I was doing some compositions for another painting .
Very sad day and tired . Sorry I didn't see any of yours pictures today !
