Where's Waldo? - Oops, I mean Mr Cardinal

The cardinals always get mad when I go out in the back yard as that forces them away from the feeder.

Lots of dragonflies flying about along the creek area looking for mosquitoes but not many sitting still. This guy was in the tree top of my dead mimosa tree. Found another one that just as I snapped the photo a breeze gently blew his wings and the leaf he was on. His wings are truly in tatters.

When looking for sunning dragonflies I walked over to my neighbour's again today. They have several dead or dying trees on their property. This trunk base was interesting to me. And on the way back to cross our bridge over the creek I was again amazed at how cool the cypress always look on these hot humid days.

I spent today working on Ancestry again. It is painstaking slow, linking all the birth certificates, marriage records, death records and any other records you can research and find. Even if you have someone's name, and relevant dates, to find the records and link them is soooo time consuming. (And addictive)

Kent has taken this week off work and after 2 years of the boxes sitting in the spare room, he is finally going through the last of this mother's things. She didn't throw anything away!! He is going through letters, cards etc from family, friends and people we don't know! We found the newspaper obituary for his grandfather that someone had made into a laminated bookmark of all things.
