Strange island
I was down at the Gateshead office today, and since the weather was mostly overcast and a bit foggy when I was travelling I thought I was going to blip raggedrascal's nice coffee mug that he got in Perugia.
But I discovered the large wall map of Europe had been re-located. It was previously in a position that meant the quantity of light reflection from its shiny surface rendered blippage tricky. And it's intrigued me ever since I noticed it, with a strange pink island located in the middle of the North Sea. Only when one gets closer does it become clear that this is merely an inflated London, re-positioned because otherwise its postcode areas would be too small to be readable. London looking like a separate island state, a bit like Singapore.
It made me wonder; what if the question in the upcoming referendum had been "Should London become an independent nation?" and the whole of the UK had had the chance to vote on it?
Apologies to Shetland for missing most of it off this - I only had one shot!
