I had an early start and managed to do most of the things on my list, eg picking up hire car, visiting allotment, going up to West End to get hair cut, watering plants, etc etc. It was only when I arrived in Blackburn that it was pointed out to me that I'd failed to bring Mr H's new suit that he'd bought to wear at the wedding tomorrow. It's still hanging on the handle of the kitchen door in Leith.

He went out immediately and secured a new but cheaper one at the large shopping complex just up the road, very speedily. Yes, of course I paid for it! Then we walked down to the throbbing heart of Blackburn and had something to eat and a pint in Wetherspoons.
