Sunny Sheep

Early walk with the dogs today - it was chilly in the shade and very warm in the sun - even though it was quite low in the sky.

It was also very, very damp underfoot - came back with trousers soaked up to the knees - also discovered that my new(ish) boots no longer keep water out - so must dig out my waterproofing fluid!

Stood watching these sheep for a while - just the sounds of birds twittering (yes that what birds have done for eons - before the advent of 'social media') and grass being munched.

Waited ages to get the shot of all of them with their heads down - the one of the right seemed to be the lookout and kept an eye on us whilst the others chomped away. The dogs were very well behaved and sat very still - and I guess the head sheep relaxed a bit and got on with her breakfast.
