Chillies

A little while ago Mrs madwill found a little chilli plant with plenty of fruit on it - at a ridiculous price £2.50.

The fruit has ripened nicely and I have picked dozens of little chillies and put them in the freezer. However there is more and more fruit appearing and still quite a few buds on the plant

A real bargain!

My car was in for service  and MOT today and whilst the MOT failure work required was only minor (number plate bulb) the service, a new tyre (it was still legal but only just), new brakes front and rear and major service amounted to an eye-watering bill. Still looking back it has not had much done to it in 9 years - first time the rear brakes have been changed and only the second set of front brakes in 110,000 miles. So in the grand scheme of things I suppose it is not bad. 

Next year it will need a timing belt change - a snip at £300. Not such a bargain.
