Kerosene Creek thermal hot pool

We woke early today, went for a run then drove to Rotorua and parked overnight at the Waiotapu Tavern. From here we walked about 4km to Kerosene Creek which is a natural thermal hot pool with its own waterfall. Pretty impressive and lovely and warm for a swim. Its called Kerosene Creek because that's what it smelled of! It also turned Farida's silver bracelet a lovely shade of brown but luckily it polished up ok.

An amazing spot and great to be able to swim in a natural hot pool. The whole area is volcanic and its eerie as there is steam rising up all over the place!
