Converging ...

Several things are represented by this photo tonight, all converging on the music stand set up for a rehearsal of our choir, 8+1 - and that's the first thing. The second is friendship - the friendship that brought this publication, the GTC magazine Teaching Scotland, to the rehearsal so that I would have the chance to see it. And the third is the unavoidable pride that is involved in seeing your own offspring doing good stuff - and this is something that doesn't seem to change, no matter how often I experience it.

The piece in question is an excerpt from #2 son's first book, How To Come Up With Great Ideas And Actually Make Them Happen. I know about the book and its contents, natch, but it's still pleasing to come across something like this, and great to have friends who go to the trouble of noticing.
