Alexandra Park Lake...

At the southern end of Alexandra Park is the ornamental lake. It's a pretty lake surrounded by trees and full of ducks, little fishes and, remarkably, a colony of turtles that had made their way into the lake somehow.

Like the rest of the park, the lake had suffered from neglect in the recent past. Over the last three years the lake has been partially drained, the base restored so it doesn't leak and the edges had the overgrown bushes cut back and new paths and plantings were installed.

The ducks are back already but I didn't see any of the fish or the turtles. I hope they are OK....
